ALL STARS - 26TH OCTOBER 2006 (NEW VICTORIA THEATRE, WOKING) An evening of talent with local youngsters working alongside professionals from ACM, GSA, Feets Per Minute and World Hip Hop Champions Flawless.
From the Mayor of Woking, Councillor John Kingsbury: “I am delighted to be supporting All Stars 2006 at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking. I believe all children whatever their backgrounds should be given the opportunity to develop their creative potential through music and drama. Our community is extremely fortunate to have such gifted professionals willing to give their time and talent to work with young people in this way. I am particularly pleased that the proceeds from the Show will be donated to my Mayoral Charity, ‘Supporting Younger People With Dementia’ on behalf of Woking Branch Alzheimer’s for which there is proven demand within the Borough but no government funding at present or in the foreseeable future”
ALL STARS 2006 was a celebration of youth talent; 300 local children and teenagers performed at the prestigious New Victoria Theatre, Woking side by side with professional artists (ACM, GSA Conservatoire, Flawless (World Hip Hop Champions) and Feets Per Minute to name a few). As the name implies All Stars relates to all young people as ‘stars’ and the evening was to give recognition to their unheard, unseen talent.
This show was a wonderful experience for the ensemble of ALL STARS 2006 to work along side these professionals and learn from them first hand. ALL STARS is about personal development for the children, stretching them both mentally and physically and giving them an insight into the world of arts, the dreams of their future.

The cast received fabulous support. Here is some of our feedback (see the photos page for all the action):
I would just like to say how much I enjoyed the show last week. All 3 of us were gobsmacked by the professional, upbeat, superb performances. I would say you have a few potentials for the west end stage in there, no question. We all liked the blonde girl with glasses, she was very good, as well as all the singers - fantastic. Band also superb. Julia Browne
I came down to watch the show on thursday,it was excellent,i was really happy with how they perfromed our choreography,if you could tell them well done from me i would really appreciate that. The band were excellent as well,i liked the pimped out rapper!Anyway just wanted to say well done. Paula Vacary - Feets per Minute
Well done on the show, you should feel very proud of both yourself and your girls. Matthew Gunn
Again many congratulations on the show. Vanessa Ford - Electric Theatre
Claire, I don't how the kids learnt all those dance moves, it was clear so many hours of rehearsal had gone into it. Q and JP were also fantastic, real stars. Congratulations, and time for a break now then?! Stephanie Carter Arts & Events Co-ordinator Woking Borough Council
I just want to say what an emazing time i had watching scratch. I hope that you get excellent feedback and a great reception from the crowd/audience. I just cannot believe the talent that the those kids have, its amazing. Grant Chatfield |
